How can i abstract a partial from an highchart legend?

Problem: I want to use a partial which defines a highchart legend.
What the code looks like when its working:

{
  "id": "myChart",
  "type": "highcharts",
  "source": "chart_source",
  "config": {
    "chart": {
      "type": "column",
      "polar": false
    },
    "@plotOptions": {
      "partial": "part_plot_options"
    },
    "legend": {
      "enabled": true,
      "align": "left",
      "verticalAlign": "bottom",
      "layout": "horizontal",
      "x": 0,
      "y": 15,
      "floating": true
    }
  }
}

How i image the partial for the legend would have to look like:

{
  "id": "part_chart_legend",
  "partial": {
    "enabled": true,
    "align": "left",
    "verticalAlign": "bottom",
    "layout": "horizontal",
    "x": 0,
    "y": 15,
    "floating": true
  }
}

And how i would image this partial than is inserted in the chart element (does not work):

[...]
"@legend": {
  "partial": "part_chart_legend"
}

What do i miss?

Maybe a stupid idea, but have you tried adding legend:{} to the code? Happened to me before that the element wanted to have the empty object as well as the partial.

[...],
"legend":{},
"@legend": {
  "partial": "part_chart_legend"
}

nice try, unfortunately it does not work

Hi Jonas, can you provide an example app? I tried it myself and it is working with my code. In my app I’ve got in the chart element:

{
[...]
"legend":{},
    "@legend": {
      "partial": "partial1"
    }
}

and partial1 as

{
  "id": "partial1",
  "partial": {
    "enabled": true,
    "align": "left",
    "verticalAlign": "bottom",
    "layout": "horizontal",
    "x": 0,
    "y": 15,
    "floating": true
  }
}
